Wilhelmshaven is located on the German North Sea coast and is the most eastern deep water port in the North Range with short connections to all of the markets in Central, Eastern and Northern Europe. Its biggest benefit is the deep navigable channel (LAT -18 m) and the short channel navigation of only 23 nautical miles.

These ideal conditions were the reason for constructing Germany’s only deep water container port at this location “JadeWeserPort” – Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven (CTW). The port will be open for business in August 2012.
